Hazratbal beautification plan to complete by Dec 2018

SRINAGAR: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan, on Tuesday reviewed Rs. 40 crore Hazratbal Shrine beautification plan, and said that the project will be completed by December 2018.
He reviewed all the components of the beautification plan and directed the officials to immediately start the work on G+3 car parking for 164 vehicles. The car parking will cost Rs 11.3 crores.
On the occasion, Director Tourism said that 90 percent of the illumination part of the project has been completed. It was revealed that the boundary wall and installation of aerators will be completed within a months’ time. The washroom block of 200 washrooms will be completed by June 2018.
To address the unavailability of state land, Baseer Khan directed the tourism officials to explore the possibility of installation of light and sound show at Duck Park.
He directed the officials to complete the entire project by December 2018 so that lakhs of people will be benefited.
