SRINAGAR: HDFC Life Insurance Co LTD (The HDFC Life) recently conducted a Keys Handover function for handing over the keys and possession of 50 homes to 50 needy and deserving families of the valley, for whom HDFC Life had arranged the building of the houses. Most of these families had lost their houses to the unprecedented flood of September 2014.
The CSR (corporate social responsibility) project for HDFC Life was executed by leading NGO of India The Habit for Humanity and their local partners including J&K Yateem Trust, an official handout read.
According to the handout, CHRO & CVO of HDFC Life Rajendra Ghag said that he felt proud and satisfied that the project had come to fruition and would help to “provide protection and a dignified life” to these deserving and needy families. He stressed upon the families to ensure education of their children as top most priority and that should not to be compromised under any circumstances.
Ghag thanked Habitat for Humanity and the team from J&K Yateem Trust for scooping, identifying and executing the house construction for these needy and deserving families on behalf of HDFC Life.
Speaking on the occasion Muqeem Tanveer Ul Islam, Sr TM Bancassurance said that “this immense contribution from HDFC Life reinforces the commitment of HDFC Life to JK State” and would further strengthen its resolve to make immense contributions to employment generation, providing long term protection and prosperity solutions and contribution to the societal causes of state, it added.
