Burglars loot jewellery worth lakhs, cash in Tral village

AWANTIPORA: Unidentified burglars bar-ged into a house and looted jewellery worth lakhs of rupees and cash in Tral village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, local sources said on Saturday.
The burglars barged in the house of Ali Mohammad Malik son of Abdul Samad Malik resident of Amlar Tral on Friday when family members not present in the house and looted gold jewellery worth lakhs and cash about one lakh, a police officer told Kashmir Reader.
“All the family members had gone to their concerned assignments and appointments,” said a locals, adding that Ali Mohammad himself had gone to offer Friday prayers.
He further told Kashmir Reader that the burglars seem to be so familiar with the residence that they had done eveth thing with great craft.
According to house owner gold jewellery worth 50 lackh and cash about one lakh was stolen by burglars from the said houses.
All the family members were out of their house in the time.
However, police officials told Kashmir Reader that not 50 lakh but gold, cash worth lakhs had stolen by unidentified burglars from the said houses.
Station House Officer Nazir inspected the site and collected evidence of the incident.
Meanwhile, police Awantipora have registered a case FIR No 145/2017 under section 454,380 and started investigation.
