Let’s come straight to the topic. This is an informative article specially written for students.
To shake you from the roots, I will give you a little idea about what you are against. There are about 17 lakh candidates who appear in JEE every year conducted by CBSE, for 11,000 engineering seats (NIT’s IIT’s IIIT’s NSIT’s and DTU combined), with 50% reserved for categories such as SC/ST and so on. You have to score above 200 out of 360. 2,20,000 candidates are selected through JEE Mains screening; these students are eligible for admissions in NIT’s and IIIT’s, for IIT’s and ISM Dhanbad.
You will have to appear in JEE Advance. The number of questions asked in JEE Advance changes every year. This exam is conducted by any of the IIT’s. Last year’s JEE Advance was conducted by IIT Madras and the cut off was 81 for JEE Mains.
Around 11.5 lakh students appeared in NEET 2017. Out of which 6,11,593 passed the exams held on May 7 when the cut off score was 131. There are around 56,000 seats in medical and dental institutes across country.
NEET is a different ball game altogether. There are 4 medical and 3 dental institutes under the JK MBBS Admission 2018. The participating institutes offers 500 MBBS and 200 BDS seats for all medical aspirants who wish to pursue education in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. NEET is conducted in the first week of May. Counting from January, you have around 90 days of preparation at hand. Divide it among four subjects of physics, chemistry, botany and zoology and what you are left with is just 30 days of preparation per subject. Do not relax after your Class 12th exams.
Having said all this, the task may seem huge but learn to break it into pieces. Do not panic, it doesn’t matter how huge the task is. If you break it, you go through it. Once you divide your work in pieces , you accomplish each piece in the scheduled time. You can have momentarily celebrations. This will protect you from boredom otherwise associated to it. Along with completion of syllabus, you also need to learn time management, pressure handling , and many other skills. A good coaching institute can help you with the same.
Use your cell phone in specified time, watch news, listen to the music, and talk to people. Do all this in a controlled manner. Be a part of an online student forum, appear in mock tests. Get tips and trick of exams and keep going. You shall have a feel of exact exam hall much before you appear in thereal exam.
