Militant found dead in Tral: Police

Srinagar: Police on Saturday said that they recovered a body of an unidentified militant from Eid Gah area of Tral in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
The body was recovered along with a letter placed over it, sources said. The letter, according to local sources identified the deceased as a non local Jaish militant.
Police said that the militant had died “while trying to assembling explosive”.
Director General of Police (DGP) S P Vaid said the slain belonged to the JeM and that he was killed in an explosion while an improvised explosive device (IED) was being fabricated in a hideout.
“While fabricating IED in a hideout near Handura Aripal Tral explosion took place in which one terrorist of reportedly JEM died whose body has been recovered by J&K Police/SF (security forces) (sic),” he wrote on Twitter.
