SHOPIAN: The District Development Commissioner, Shopian, Mohammad Aijaz Asad Friday chaired a meeting of bankers and line departments to discuss and approve the annual credit plan for 2018-19.
Chief Planning Officer Shopian, LBO RBI, DDM NABARD and District Coordinators of all the banks among others attended the meeting. Besides, chief, district officers, heads of all the line departments of the State government and sponsoring agencies were also present on the occasion.
A credit plan of Rs 915.59 crore was approved in the meeting including the priority sector lending.
He further added that the annual credit plan should be in consonance with the Potential Linked Plan (PLP) to actualize the plan formulation as per the requirements. Stressing on need for synergy between banks and line departments, he pointed out that awareness regarding education loan should be taken at the level of higher secondary schools and degree college for benefit of students. Similarly, concern was expressed to focus on MSME sector.
The DDC called upon all the officers to work out the requirements so that requisite credit can be pumped to ameliorate the lot of the people. For that, he directed them for mobilizing the field functionaries so that proper assessment at ground level is made.
