Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference led by Mirwaiz Umer Farooq and Awami Action Committee (AAC) discussed ‘strategy’ for making the Islamabad chalo call given by Joint resistance leadership success on Friday.
In a statement, the Hurriyat spokesperson said that a crucial meeting of leaders and activists was held at AAC headquarter Mirwaiz Manzil Rajouri kadal.
“We want to send a strong message of solidarity to the people of South Kashmir who are regularly inflicted with worst kind of human rights violations by the forces through killings, arrest and frequent search operations,” statement said.
“APHC chairman will try to leave for Islamabad at 11 am on Friday along with the workers and activists from party headquarters and at 2 pm, JRL leaders will address the people in Islamabad and announce their future strategy, “statement said.
The meeting strongly condemned the continuous house detention of its Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, senior resistance leader Syed Ali Geelani, and jailing of JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik along with other leaders.
The spokesman also condemned the detention of APHC senior leader Mukhtar Waza , Musadiq Adil, Ghulam Nabi Zaki and dozens of other APHC leaders in Sopore.
