DFP pays tributes to Hizb commander Shams-ul-Haq

SRINAGAR: Paying rich tributes to late Islamic Scholar and former amir chief of Hizbul Mujahideen, Shaheed Shams-ul-Haq on his 25th martyrdom anniversary, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party said that people like Shams are assets of the ongoing freedom struggle.
DFP in a statement termed Shaheed Shams-ul-Haq as a brave soldier of freedom, and a man with strong and clear ideology. “The resistance movement has been nourished by highly educated people like Shaheed Shams-ul-Haq, who has three Masters Degrees in his credit in three different subjects,” said DFP.
DFP further said we must renew our stand that our great martyrs have already fixed the goals of the ongoing movement so there must be no confusion. “It added that the goal of freedom can only be achieved by following great values and virtues because we are fighting a cause based on the moral and ethical ideology,” they said.
DFP said that our movement is actually a war between right and wrong, oppressed and oppressor, we must be very clear about these basics so that nobody could hijack our goal which has been fixed by our martyrs like Shaheed Shams-ul-Haq.
DFP stressed upon people to stand for the protection of the cause of martyrs which is possible only by exhibiting steadfastness. “Kashmiris are not against dialogue, but dialogue for the sake of mere meetings and issuing mere statements cannot help in resolving the long standing Kashmir dispute. The resolution process needs maturity, courage and truthfulness. This also has been the basis of ailing and incarcerated Democratic Freedom Party chief Shabir Ahmad Shah,” they said in a statement.
