SRINAGAR: The death of advocate Abdul Mateen is not only a huge loss to the resistance movement but a deep blow to the Muslim Deeni Mahaz also, said MDM on Tuesday.
Party spokesperson in a statement said Mateen was one of the pioneers of the MDM, an intellectual and a pious Muslim who worked as a close associate of MDM chief Dr Muhammad Qasim in 1999 and 2000.
“He has also contributed to social work and has written research based papers where he has given the detailed account of how Indian government is going to change the demography of Jammu and Kashmir,” the spokesperson said.
“He has written a booklet on Dr Muhammad Qasim also. We pray for his departed soul and at the same time share shock with his family,” the MDM spokesperson said.
