Snowfall blankets Kashmir valley

Srinagar: Snowfall and heavy rain across Jammu and Kashmir ended a month-long dry spell in the state, whereas Srinagar received season’s first snowfall on Tuesday.
Moderate snowfall and heavy rain forced the closure of Srinagar-Jammu Highway and the Mughal Road connecting Kashmir Valley with the rest of the world.
Reports of moderate to heavy snowfall have reached from all the ten districts of the Kashmir valley.
Owing to bad weather and fog around Trikuta Hills, helicopter service to Vaishno Devi shrine continues to remain suspended for the second consecutive day today.
