Jama’at rues world bodies’ silence on Kashmir

SRINAGAR: Jama’at-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir on Monday said the way government forces “mercilessly” killed the innocent lady Misra Banu in Yunsoo, Handwara during a gunfight vindicates the “real motive of cruel Indian forces” towards Kashmiris.
In a statement, chief spokesperson of Jama’at Advocate Zahid Ali said whenever Kashmiris raise voice against “state terrorism”, they are welcomed by bullets, pellets, PAVA shells, and tear smoke shells.
“Due to this state terrorism against unarmed and peaceful protestors, thousands of innocent civilians have got killed. Sad part is that human rights bodies and world forums have kept deep mum over this genocide due to which these institutions have lost its credibility among masses,” he said.
The spokesperson impressed upon the world forums to take concrete measures for ensuring the long-pending right of Kashmiris’ right to self-determination and use their influence to end “this unabated bloodshed” in Kashmir.
