Malik goes into hiding

Srinagar: Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chief Mohammad Yasin Malik on Thursday evening went into hiding as police raided various places to arrest him, said his spokesperson on Friday.
The JKLF spokesperson said that Malik went into hiding and is expected to lead a peaceful march towards the United Nations’ Observers’ office at Sonwar, Srinagar, on December 10, which is observed as International Human Rights Day.
“Police Thursday evening raided the residence of Malik twice, besides other places,” the spokesperson said.
“It is worth to mention that so-called rulers and their authorities have even choked every little space in Jammu Kashmir and as soon as any protest programme is announced by Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL),” the statement said.
