DSEK directs action against Doon School for violating vacation order

SRINAGAR: Directorate of School Education, Kashmir (DSEK) has directed the Chief Education Officer, Srinagar to initiate action against Doon International School for violating the winter vacation orders.
An official spokesman said that a DSEK special team visited various schools including Doon International School where it was found that full academic activities including that of lower primary classes were being run by the school in violation of the order.
The DSEK conducted surprise visits of several private schools on the complaints of parents, and issued instructions to seal the schools and private coaching centres that were running their activities in violation of the winter vacation orders issued by the government.
It also instructed CEOs to initiate action against unregistered private schools/coaching centres without delay, besides sealing schools/private coaching centres existing in their jurisdiction who have failed to publish their fee details/faculty details as required under law.
