SRINAGAR: Director Agriculture Kashmir, Syed Altaf Aijaz Andrabi on Wednesday directed all the administrative officers to ensure that the budgetary allocations to their respective districts under different programmes and projects were fully utilised by the end of current fiscal.
According to an official handout, Andrabi directed the concerned officers to reflect the needs of their districts in the coming budgetary meetings and ensure that funds allocated to them were utilised to full by the end of the current financial year. He also asked them to see to it that the ongoing schemes and projects were closed at the earliest to avoid cost and time overrun.
“Keep the track of projects under different schemes and make it a point that these are executed as per the timeline already decided, and in no case be allowed to overrun,” the director asked the officers. He asked them to take periodic reviews in their districts so that the completion timeline was met with, the handout read.
Andrabi called upon the officers to undertake periodic visits to the concerned areas to personally acquaint themselves with the developmental pace and needs of the farmers.
He also asked officers to monitor closely the process of digitisation of their records and directed monitoring mechanism to oversee proper implementation of different schemes and expenditures made on them, the handout further read.
Director Rakhs & Farms Abdul Raheem Samoon, Joint Director Extension Sonaullah Mir, Joint Director Inputs, Sajad Ahmad Shah, Mushroom Coordinator, Abdul Qayum Shah, Dy. Director (M&E) Karishma Qudrat, Chief Agriculture Officers, District Agriculture Officers and other officers of the department, attended the meeting, it added.
