SRINAGAR: Minister of education, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Tuesdaysaid that career counselling cells have been constituted in every higher secondary school so that class XII pass-outs get the complete information about new courses in this competitive world beyond medical and engineering professions.
The Minister was speaking during the inauguration of provincial-level Career Counseling & Guidance session organized by Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) at Girls Higher Secondary School Kothi Bagh.
Recently appeared in 12th class examinations, 20 students were selected from Srinagar, Ganderbal, Budgam, and Pulwama districts for the guidance session. The main aim of the programme is guiding the 12th class students to opt for the career of their preference and calibre.
“This is the right time where a student needs proper guidance in choosing career options and subjects accordingly,” the minister said.
He said students can also avail benefits of various scholarship programmes which would go a long way in polishing their skills and achieve higher targets in their career.
