Jammu: Indian and Pakistani armies along the Line of Control (LoC) on Sunday engaged today in firing in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Police said that the Pakistani forces shelled the forward areas in the district.
The shelling from across the border began in Khari Karmara area at 10.55 am and continued for about an hour, the official alleged.
He said that the Indian government forces along the LoC retaliated “effectively” to the Pakistani firing and shelling.
“There was no report of any casualty in the latest ceasefire violation,” he said. (PTI)
