Baramulla: Three among the five militants who were killed by the government forces in two different encounters in Sopore and Budgam district were buried in martyrs graveyard Gantamulla in district Baramulla along the Jhelum banks and Srinagar Muzaffarabad national highway in between Thursday and Friday night.
A local resident said they had dug four graves on Thursday evening. The body of non-local militant who was killed in Sopore gunfight was brought to graveyard at around 9 pm while as two more bodies of non-local militants killed in another gunfight in district Budgam were shifted at around 2 am Thursday night.
They said around two dozen people including some civilian and some police men buried the bodies after funeral prayers were offered. One of the four graves is still waiting as the government forces could not trace the body of another non-local militant claimed to have been killed in Budgam encounter.
Abu Dujana, two elderly suspected members of Pakistani border action team killed along the Line of Control in Uri besides over sixty non-local militants were buried in past two years in this new graveyard situated along the Jhelum banks.
