Zahoor Ahmad Dar, a class XI student is half-blinded even as three surgeries have been done on his damaged eyes. Dar was targeted by the government forces at Hall village last year.
“Despite three surgeries, I am still half-blinded. It is worst to get blinded with pellets,” Dar said adding that he was injured with pellets and could not properly write his matriculation examination. “I was not able to study and failed in one of the subjects,” he said.
Zahoor’s father Nazir Ahmad Dar said that it cost him Rs 1.5 lakh on medicines and surgeries but despite all efforts, he has not regained eyesight in his left eye.
