Srinagar: Expressing serious concern over the deteriorating condition of senior incarcerated resistance leader Shabir Ahmed Shah in Tihar Jail, Huriyat Conference (M) on Monday said Kashmir’s resistance leaders are being subjected to political vendetta.
The continuous incarceration has taken a serious toll on the health of the Hurriyat leaders, statement added.
The APHC spokesman also said that senior leaders including advocate Shahid-ul-Islam, Altaf Ahmed Fantoosh, Mehrajudin Kalwal, Ayaz Akbar, Peer Saifullah, Nayeem Ahmed Khan, Farooq Ahmed Dar suffering from multiple ailments are denied medical aid in Tihar jail.
The spokesman condemned the highhandedness of Tihar Jail authorities in depriving the huriyat leaders of medical aid. Meanwhile, the spokesman paid glowing tributes to six armed youth killed in an encounter at Hajin
The spokesman said New Delhi has curbed most of religious, social and political rights of people of Kashmir on the dent of military might.
“It reflects the oppressive mind-set of the government and its forces deployed here. Kashmir’s genuine and sacred movement will remain on till it reaches its goal,” he added. The party spokesman further said that on directions of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq , a delegation visited the house of slain youth Mugees Ahmed Mir and expressed sympathy and solidarity with them.
On the occasion, Mirwaiz spoke to the father of slain Mugees over phone and expressed his condolence and solidarity to the family, spokesman said.
APHC spokesman also condemned the frequent house detention of its chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.
The spokesman also said that Mirwaiz Umar Farooq will address a religious gathering on the occasion of “Khwaja Digar” at the revered shrine of Naqshband Sb (RA) at Khawaja Bazaar on wednesday 3rd Rabiul Awal from Zuhr(afternoon prayers) to Asr (post afternoon prayer ).
