SRINAGAR: Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) on Sunday paid glowing tributes to six militants killed in a gunfight in Hajin on Saturday saying they displayed “extreme bravery” during the gunfight.
In a statement, DeM general secretary Nahida Nasreen said, “The whole Kashmir is in a state of mourning as the martyrs are own children. Every home in Kashmir is mourning today and it feels that we have lost our own children.”
She said these young men leave the comforts of their homes and come to “free Kashmir from the illegal and oppressive occupation”. “They come to fight for us and this is why every Kashmiri is in a state of shock to have lost these brave men,” she said.
“It is because of these martyrs that despite passing of seven decades, Kashmir issue is still alive,” she said. “All Indian conspiracies and sinister plans have failed so far because of the sacrifices given by these men.”
The DeM general secretary said the bloodshed in Kashmir will stop “only when India leaves Jammu and Kashmir”. “India is committing brutalities of all sorts here. It is killing us, blinding us, maiming, torturing and jailing us. This brutality has to end,” she said.
