Srinagar: Scores of women held intense pro-freedom protests on Sunday in Hajin area where six Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) men were killed on Saturday during a gunfight with government forces.
Reports said that women raised anti-India and pro-freedom slogans during the ptotests in Chandergaer area where the gunfight took place.
Several areas of Bandipora district in northern Kashmir against the killing of six LeT men.
A Garud commander of Indian Air Force was also killed during the encounter besides two other Indian army soldiers were injured.
Government has snapped internet services in the area since Saturday afternoon.
Meanwhile, reports said that funeral prayers-in-absentia were held in Chandergaer area in which scores of men participated.
The slain LeT men are reportedly non-locals, who, according to police procedure, shall be laid to rest in Gantamulla graveyard in Baramulla.
