Bandipora areas shut against killing of LeT men; Graves being dug in Bla

Srinagar: Scores of areas in northern Kashmir’s Bandipora district are observing a complete shutdown on Sunday against the killing of six militants in a gun battle on Saturday in Hajin area.

Reports reaching here said that complete shutdown is being observed in Hajin, Sumbal, Shahgund, Ajas, Chandergaer, Hakabara, Baharabad, Asham, Kathapora and Naidkhai areas of the district.

In a gun battle in Chandergaer area of Hajin yesterday, at least six Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militants died fighting government forces during which one Indian Air Force Garud commando was also killed and another army soldier was injured.

Meanwhile, reports coming from Baramulla district said that some people and policemen in presence of army men are digging graves for the slain LeT men in a graveyard at Gantamulla are of the district.
