AWANTIPORA: Four-Day Workshop on IOT (Internet of Things) organised by the Department of Computer Sciences and Engineering, Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) in collaboration with FICE and INTEL India concluded on Friday at IUST.
An official statement issued here said the technical experts from Intel and FICE Surrender Kumar and Abhishek Kumar facilitated the students and faculty of the different departments of schools of technology in the different Intel platforms used for developing IOT applications like Intel Edison Boards etc. The facilitators took hands on session of the latest trends in Internet of Things.
At the end of the workshop, students submitted the project ideas to the Intel facilitators. The students have to submit the prototype of these ideas to Intel within three months and the submitted ideas after evaluation by the Intel and FICE experts will be showcased in different Intel programs like Intel accelerator, Intel Ideation Camps and Intel Village Expo.
The main intention of this workshop, the statement said, was to bridge the gap between the industry and the academics by exposing students to latest trends in the field of intelligent systems.
The workshop was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor IUST, Prof Mushtaq A Siddiqi on 14th November.
