Srinagar: Indian and Pakistani troops exchanged firing along the LoC in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday.
Pertinently, after every such incident along the LoC or International border both the countries accuse each other of violating the ceasefire which is in place since 2003.
According to PTI Pakistani troops opened fire and shelled areas along the LoC in Poonch district, drawing heavy retaliation from the Indian Army.
The firing is still on, a defence spokesman said.
“Pakistan Army initiated unprovoked and indiscriminate firing of small arms, automatics and mortarsfrom 0815 hours in Poonch sector along the Line of Control (LoC)”, the spokesman said.
