SRINAGAR: The department of Politics and Governance, Central University of Kashmir (CUK) in collaboration with Kargil Development Project (KDP) and Centre for Law and Development Policy (CLD) organised a follow-up workshop on Conflict Transformation at the university on Saturday.
Professor and Dean School of Social Sciences Dr. Noor Ahmad Baba, Coordinator, Dr. Abhiruchi Ojha, adjunct faculty, Mr. G R Sufi, Shafa’at Ahmad, lawyer at (CLD) and other faculty members and students were also present on the occasion.
During the workshop, students were shown a TED talk on the ‘Power of Listening,’ which was followed by a discussion on the value and significance of listening in our lives. The talk highlighted and proposed a ‘listening revolution,’ which would help resolve conflicts in political sphere as well as personal lives.
The students and faculty including Prof. N A Baba and adjunct faculty G R Sufi were invited to share their personal experiences on how listening or not listening had influenced their lives so far. The discussion was followed by a group exercise.
