DACFW team discusses modalities for ensuring regular data flow
JAMMU: For regular flow of data and setting up a schedule for systematic mechanism, Principal Advisor Horticulture, Directorate of Agriculture Cooperation and Farmers Welfare (DACFW), New Delhi, Sudha P. Rao on Friday met with heads of the Department of Horticulture and allied sectors in the Directorate of Horticulture Jammu, an official press note read.
According to the press note, the chairperson gave a detailed account on the subject and appreciated the efforts being undertaken by the department of horticulture for the betterment of the farming community.
Secretary Horticulture Manzoor Ahmed Lone, highlighted the steps underway to promote horticulture sector and emphasised upon the concerned to ensure timely submission of data, the press note read.
Mamta Saxena, Advisor Horticulture gave presentation on various issues related to horticulture and agriculture sectors.
The team from Delhi also inspected Government Fruit Plants Nursery Vijaypur and citrus orchard of a farmer from Channi Samba, where they interacted with the farmers and took stock of the various developmental activities being carried out with the assistance from the horticulture department, the press note added.
