UDHAMPUR: The Department of Agriculture organsied a Farmer’s Training Programme-cum-Kissan Ghoshti under centrally sponsored scheme Agricultural Technology Management Agency (CSS-ATMA) scheme here on Tuesday, an official press note read.
During the programme the farmers were given demonstration about latest agriculture equipments and machinery. According to the press note, District Development Commissioner (DDC), Ravinder Kumar, applauded the efforts of agriculture department for disbursing the benefits of centrally sponsored schemes to the needy farmers for their socio-economic upliftment, creating awareness regarding ongoing schemes and training of farmers on latest technology.
Farmers expressed keen interest in the programme and asked for exposure tours and events at block level as well.
Among others, Chief Horticulture Officer, Brij Vallabh Gupta, incharge KVK Reasi, Dr Banarsi Dass Gupta, DAO (Extn.), Ajay Sharma and Officers/Officials of Agriculture department besides large number of farmers were present on the occasion.
