JAMMU: A two day training programme for Rope Rescue Equipments Usage during Disaster and other emergencies commenced here today.
The programme was organised by Directorate of SDRF/ Home Guards /Civil Defence J& K, Jammu under the supervision of Commandant SDRF 2nd Battalion Rashmi Wazir.
During the programme, the SDRF Personals were introduced to new equipments and rescue techniques besides different types of demonstrations were given to them.
Speaking on the occasion, the Commandant said that the main focus of the training was to enhance the efficiency and capability of SDRF Personals. He stressed on the need to organize more such training programs for developing required expertise among SDRF staff in handling the crisis that can arise due to disasters.
Dy S P Trainer SDRF 2nd Battalion Sudershan Mehta briefed the trainees about the advantages of advanced training and use of newly introduced equipments during rescue operations.
Other trainers were experts from Allied Safety Equipments private Limited, Thane including Bushan Poshe, Vipul Wahi, Rajneesh Mannotra and Wallombok.
