Srinagar: The government forces on Saturday morning resorted to aerial firing in a Pulwama village.
Local sources ssid that Indian army soldiers tried to enter Samboora area of the district in south Kashmir.
“The army tried to enter the village but the resistance showed by the local youth forced them to flee the spot,” they said.
“There was stone pelting by the youth following which the army men opened fire in air,” sources informed.
The situation was “under control” when last reports cane in.
The incident happened two days after a JeM militant and two Indian army soldiers were killed in a gunfight in the same area.
