Five structures gutted in Haril, Handwara fire incident

Handwara: Five building structures including two residential houses were gutted in a fire incident in Haril area of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Tuesday morning.
Reports said that fire broke out in a residential house and it damaged at least two residential houses and three other huts and a fruit godown.
The timely intervention of fire and emergency services’ men and machinery immediately reached the spot and prevented further damage by the inferno. Haril village is located around 30 kilometers from the main Handwara town.
Sub divisional police officer (SDPO) Handwara Shabir Ahmad Khan told Kashmir Reader that two residential houses were damaged in the fire incident. He said the cause of fire could not be confirmed immediately.
SSP Handwara Gulam Jeelani Wani said that one house was completely and one partially damaged while 12 others were affected in Handwara fire incident.
