After death of two cousins, trains services suspended

PULWAMA: Train services between Srinagar and Banihal remained suspended for the second consecutive day on Monday.
Railway authorities suspended train services between Srinagar and Banihal section “as a precautionary measure” after two minor cousins were crushed to death on Sunday evening at Puchal area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama, district, sources said.
Northern Railway Chief Area Manager Kashmir division, Hari Mohan confirmed to Kashmir Reader that the section was closed “as a precautionary measure”.
Two minor cousin brothers were crushed under the train which was on its way from Srinagar to Banihal at Puchal village in Pulwama district on Sunday evening.
They were identified as Muntazir Ahmad (10) son of Nasir Ahmad Shah and Faizan Ahmad (9) son of Raj Mohammad Shah, both residents of Puchal.
The train service between Banihal and Srinagar were suspended on Sunday evening at 4pm for security reasons following protests after two minors were crushed to death by a train in Puchal village.
