Baramulla: Government of India has launched Jan Suraksha Yojana under which three schemes namely Atal Pension Yojana (APY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) are being provided by Department of Posts in all the post offices.
You get accidental Insurance of Rs 2 Lacs for just Rs12/- per annum under PMSBY Scheme and Life Insurance worth Rs 2 Lacs at just Rs 330/- per annum under PMJJBY.
Under Atal Pension Yojana a person can get a fixed monthly pension from Rs 1000/- to Rs 5000 in his old age depending on their contribution. Besides this, Department of Posts also provides Sukanaya Samriddhi Yojana under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao program under which an account of a girl child can be opened upto the age of 10 years and the amount accumulated may be utilised for the girl child when she becomes adult for her education and other purposes. Superintendent Post office, Baramulla Division has requested general public to avail the benefits of all these schemes from their nearest post office.
Government of India has now made linking of Aadhaar and mobile numbers with all the saving accounts and certificates mandatory by 31.12.2017.
All the customers of Department of Posts are requested to contact their respective post offices and get their Aadhaar linked with their accounts/saving certificate that have been already opened.
