Srinagar: Restriction would be imposed in parts of Srinagar on Friday to prevent protests in the wake of shutdown call given by resistance camp.
An official said the restrictions will be imposed in seven police stations Srinagar. The northern railways also announced that train services will be suspended in the Valley today.
In Srinagar’s downtown, Safakadal, MR Gunj, Khanyar, Nowhatta, Raniwari, Maisuma and Khralkhud will be under restrictions.
The Joint Resistance Leadership has called for observing October 27 as ‘Black Day’ to protest landing of Indian troops in the region in 1947.
