Mirwaiz condoles demise of Naat Khawan GN Shah

SRINAGAR: The patron of Mutahida Majlis Ulama and Chairman of Hurriyat Conference (M) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has expressed grief over the demise of Kashmir based trader and famous Naat Khawan G N Shah of Aali Masjid Srinagar.
In his condolence, Mirwaiz in a statement termed the deceased a noble soul who had a high moral character and generosity.
Mirwaiz while extending his sympathies to the bereaved family called Faisal Shah, the son of the deceased, over phone and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and forbearance to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.
Meanwhile, a delegation led by M S Rehman Shamas visited the bereaved family at Ali Masjid Eidgah to condole the demise. Besides shedding light on the philosophy of life and death, the delegation recalled the contribution of G N Shah and said the deceased used to enlighten the audiences via Qur’anic verses translated by Mufasir-e-Quran Mirwaiz Moulana Yousuf Shah.
