Former KU Hockey Coach Parmajeet Singh is no more

SRINAGAR: Former Kashmir University Hockey Coach S. Parmajeet Singh died here at his residence at Aluchabgh on Tuesday
He possessed expertise not only in hockey but was highly trained in other sports. He was considered one of the best Hockey referees of the state.
After death of Late KKHakku he took over as Secretary of famous Kashmir Wanderers Club. Under his supervision several All India Inter-University tournaments in different games were conducted by Kashmir Universities.
He also played lead role in holding Indira Gandhi Memorial Hockey Championships.
His former colleague at KU, Muhammad Yusuf said Late Paramjeet played a great role in developing hockey among women fold in Kashmir.
A condolence meeting of many sports organizations including Winter Games Association, J&K Ski & Mountaineering Association, J&K Baseball Association, Kashmir Roller Skating Club, Solina Football club, Adventure call, District Hockey Association and some other private agencies was convened here in Srinagar.
Some officials later visited his home and expressed their sympathies with the believed family particularly his elder son S. Harbinder Singh who also is Hockey Coach in the University.
