Baramulla: Despite tension on Uri borders from past two days between troops of India and Pakistan, the weekly Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus service resumed on Monday after two weeks. The weekly bus left Srinagar on Monday morning for Kaman post with 47 PAK returnees including 25 male, 18 female and 04 children.
For the past two days there was lot of tension on the borders in Uri Sector as the armies of India and Pakistan blamed each other for violating cease fire.
A civilian porter was killed while two women were injured in Pakistani firing in the Uri sector on Saturday.
Last week the authorities suspended the bus service due to the Diwali festival in India.
Meanwhile, sources said the authorities closed some government schools in Kamalkote area for the third day when troops exchanged fire on Monday morning. There was no report of any injury or death from any side.
