World Speed Ball Championship: Jammu players to participate in c’ship

JAMMU: Adding one more achievement in the state’s sports profile, four Speed Ball players from Jammu and Kashmir will take part in 29th World Speed Ball championship to be held at Egypt from 25th October to 30th October, 2017.
Divisional Commissioner, M.K. Bhandari informed this during a press conference at Jammu Club, here on Sunday.
The Div Com wished good luck and congratulated the players namely Sunny Nanda, Sahil Janjua, Rahul Meenia and Amit Kour for being selected in the 29th World Speed Ball Championship. He hoped that they will exhibit outstanding performance in the International sports event ang bring laurels to the Nation and the state.
He informed that prominent Sports person Sunny Nanda will lead the Indian speed ball team for the championship.
Chairman J&K Sports Council Ranjeet Kalra motivated all the players to give their best performance and keep the spirit of the game high to emerge as Victorious.
Fourteen players from different states of India are participating in this world championship.
