Sopore woman dies in Muzaffarabad, body handed over to kin at Kaman post

Baramulla: The body of a woman from Sopore who died in Pakistan-administered-Kashmir (PaK) was handover to her kin through the local authorities in Uri after it was transported to the Line of Control on Thursday.
Official source said that Saleema Begam wife of Gulam Hassan of Sopore town of district Baramulla went to Pakistani Kashmir on October 02. However, the lady died due to a massive heart attack two days ago in Muzafarabad city of PaK. The lady’s family in Kashmir and her relatives in PaK pleaded with the authorities to allow them to transport the body to her home for last rites.
On Thursday, the PaK authorities handed over the body to the officials of this side at Kaman bridge Uri. The body was shifted at the bridge in a special ambulance.
The TFO Chakoti Major Tahir Qazmi and SHO Chanari Javid Gowhar from Pakistani side while as SDPO Uri Syeed Javid Ahmad, SDM Uri Dr D Sagar, and some army officers from this side of Kashmir were present on the occasion and they receive the body at the bridge.
