This ‘broad-chopper’s’ sin was to claim his outstanding salary

Srinagar: According to a police statement, Jameel Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Mohammad Dar resident of Sarpara Rafiabad used to work as tractor driver with one Mohammad Sultan Lone son of Abdul Subhan Lone of Gundchobutra Kralgund. On October 16, 2017, he went to owner’s house to get his salary amount of Rs 50,000 lying with the owner, but to his utter surprise, the owner firstly, on one or other pretext refused to pay him and then labeled him as braid chopper and created a scene in the village which attracted attention of other villagers who without any confirmation beat him to pulp, injuring him seriously. The injured was first shifted to Baramulla where from he has been shifted to SKIMS Soura for further treatment. The mischievous elements use this braid-chopping as a tool in their personal disputes thus creating chaos. FIR has been registered in this regard at Police Station Kralgund against the accused and the investigation has been taken up.
