Credit for bringing normalcy goes to policemen in streets: DGP

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police, with the active help of other government forces has been able to normalise the situation in the valley, particularly in south Kashmir and the credit goes to the last man, who is deployed in the field and works with the people, Director General of Police, SP Vaid said Sunday while interacting with a group of IPS officers from SVP National Police Academy Hyderabad at Police Headquarters here Sunday.
Vaid said that social media has been misused by the inimical forces across the border to fulfil their ulterior motives and J&K Police is focusing to enhance its capabilities to counter this menace at different levels.
Vaid said that the impressions being created by the media regarding Kashmir need to be corrected. Lamenting the machination of Pakistan, he said that common man in Kashmir wants peace and prosperity since he bears the brunt and exploitation from the neighbouring country. He said that a number of measures were taken to bring the difficult situation under control.
