SRINAGAR: With a thumping majority, Mohammad Ismail Teli, Bilal Ahmad Khan and Abdul Khaliq Ahanger on Saturday won the elections of Jammu and Kashmir Employees Union.
Teli, Khan and Ahanger were elected to office of JKPCC employees union for a term of three years.
Teli will hold the office of chairman, Khan is the new president while as Ahanger has been elected as Secretary General of the JKPCC employees union.
A spokesperson of the newly elected body said that out of total 109 votes, 104 votes were cast in the election which was held at JKPCC Haft Chinar head office on Saturday which started at 10 am to 3 pm. “The counting of the votes was held for one hour and the results were declared at 4 pm,” he said.
The spokesperson said that Er Suhail Ahmad Bedar (AEE) was Returning Officer of the election while as two labour officers acted as election observers. “The staff for polling included those from JKPCC itself,” he added.
