Chanpora boy killed in road accident at Panthachowk

SRINAGAR: A young boy riding a motorcycle was killed after being hit by a “speeding” tipper in Panthachowk on the outskirts of Srinagar on Saturday.
Police officials told Kashmir Reader that the accident took place near the SBI ATM at Zewan Chowk between the truck and the motorcycle resulting into serious injures to the motorcyclist. The injured was rushed to SMHS hospital in critical condition where he succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased, identified as Furqan Ahmad Raina son of Abdul Gani, resident of Rose Lane Colony Chanpora, Srinagar. Furqan was a 11 class student of Delhi Public School Srinagar and was on his way to Pampore to visit his aunt at Namblabal.
Police has registered a case in this regard, investigation taken up.
