Ranji Trophy: J&K V/s Rajasthan, Day-1
SRINAGAR: Robin Bist hit a century as Team Rajasthan scored 249 for four on day 1 in their first innings of group-B match played at Swai Mansingh Stadium Jaipur on Friday.
Mohammad Mudhasir was the pick of the J&K bowlers as he scalped three wickets (3/66) on a pitch that favoured spinners while skipper Parvez Rasool scalped one wicket.
Put in to bat, after J&K skipper Parvez Rasool won the toss, the fast bowlers backed their skipper’s decision as Rajasthan lost their first wicket when opener D Yagnik (1) was sent back to the pavilion by pacer Mohammad Mudhasir with just 13 runs on the board and A Gautam and Robin Bist played cautiously and stitched 78 run partnership for the second wicket. The second wicket partnership was broken when A Gautam (51) become the second victim of pacer Mudasar.
After the departure of Gautam, Bist was joined by middle order batsman Ashok Maneria and both the batsmen scored half-centuries built a solid platform yielded 133 run partnerships for the third wicket as Maneria (69) was bowled by off-spinner Parvez Rasool.
M Lomror(6) was the fourth wicket to fall on the day as he went cheaply and became the third victim of Mohammad Mudhasir.
At stumps Bist (105) and T Haq(0) were at the crease for the host.
