Wildlife week celebrated in Baramulla

Srinagar: The department of wildlife protection Jammu and Kashmir in collaboration with wildlife trust of india organized a day-long wildlife awareness event for school children in Chahala, Baramulla.
The event held at New Child Care School at Bimyaar Bunyar, took the form of inter school quiz and debate competition to deliberate the importance of wildlife conservation.
The awareness event kick-started the celeberations of this year’s wildlife week in north Kaashmir.
To propogate wildlife knowledge among the school children, such events are being conducted in Kupwara, Tangmarg, Sopore during the week.
Speaking on the occasion, wildlife warden north Kashmir Mohd Sadiq Mir said , the awareness about wildlife conservation among school children will go long way in generating conservation awareness among the youth who are on the threshold of being the responsible citizens of the nation.
