Grievance Cell initiates action on Ladakh grievances

Srinagar: Chief Ministers Grievance Cell Thursday started acting on the grievances collected during the redressal camps in Ladakh.

It is pertinent to mention that grievance camps were conducted by the Chief Ministers Grievance Cell on the instructions of its Coordinator Tassaduq Hussain Mufti in Ladakh Region.

Student representations raised the issue of delay in examinations and issuance of certificates.

The students also requested the Coordinator to provide an alternate examination block for Ladakh region so that they can redress their grievances related to examinations in their area itself and would not have visit Kashmir for redress of their issues.

Mufti, immediately on completing the camps, directed the officials of Grievance Cell to request the Vice Chancellor, Kashmir University to hold special redress camps at Leh within a week’s time so that the grievances of the students are resolved at their home places and their issues are resolved.

Mufti also directed the district administration of Kargil and Leh to conduct JK Grievance awareness Cell camps throughout Ladakh for registration of grievance at their doorsteps.

The grievances collected through memorandums and public meets during the camps are registered officially on Grievance Cell website and forwarded to related departments for immediate redressal.

The people of Ladakh has appreciated the move of redressal camps and attended the camps in large numbers.
