SRINAGAR: Jammu Kashmir was, is and will never be part of India, said Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik on Sunday while reacting against the statement of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat that Constitution of India needs to be amended to fully assimilate Jammu Kashmir with India.
“Instead of thinking of conquering Jammu Kashmir, (RSS chief) Mohan Bhagwat should think of his India which is getting closer to disintegration by RSS’s anti-minority policies,” Malik said in a statement.
Terming Bhagwat’s assertions as “absurd”, Malik said, “Integrating Jammu Kashmir with India through constitutional measures and military operation and oppression can only be termed as day dreaming and illogical.”
“Mohan Bhagwat, who is dreaming of integrating Jammu Kashmir with India, should instead ponder over his own anti-Muslim, anti-Dalit and anti-minority policies which are bound to disintegrate his India,” Malik said, adding, “Jammu Kashmir is not anybody’s inherited estate but belongs to its people. Sooner or later, India will have to end its illegal military occupation of this land in the interest of peace and tranquility.”
JKLF chief said trampling the state subject law, giving permanent citizenship to West Pakistan refugees or any other tactics to change the demography and Muslim character of Jammu Kashmir will meet stiff resistance from the people of the state. “We will not shy away from even spilling our blood while defending our identity and freedom. Mohan Bhagwat and people like him should know that people of Jammu Kashmir are a living nation and have courage to defeat the nefarious designs of RSS fascism,” he said.
Meanwhile, Malik strongly condemned the ban on Ashoora procession and “brutal use of force” against the procession, terming it as “most undemocratic and direct interference in religious affairs of Muslims in Kashmir”.
