Budgam: After several braid chopping attacks on women across Kashmir, a man found his hair mysteriously chopped off by unknown assailants Friday evening at Arizal village here.
Mushtaq Ahmad, a resident of Zampora Arizal, was on way home at around 7 p.m., when he was intercepted by some persons who chopped off his hair.
“I was on way to home from the market when someone grabbed my collar and searched my pockets thoroughly,” Mushtaq Ahmad, who works as a teacher, said. “Then they caught hold of my hair and chopped it.”
They were trying to drag me to the nearby bushes, probably, in an attempt to harm me. I showed resistance and somehow managed to flee.”
Police visited the spot and a case has been lodged by Budgam police in this regard. SHO Beerwah, Nazir Ahmad, said that they have been directed not to talk with any one regarding the same.
“Talk to SSP or DIG if you want to get their comment. We have been asked not to talk on this issue,” he said.
