Srinagar: As the incidents of braid chopping in Kashmir valley remain relentless, the J&K police have raised the award money for informers.
A police statement issued to media here said that the reward for giving information/assistance in nabbing any person found involved in braid cutting has been doubled to Rs six lakh.
Earlier, police has set the award price at Rs 3 lakh and have also set up help-lines to nab the choppers.
“The name and particulars of the person/persons will kept secret,” the police said.
The braid chopping incidents have made people uneasy and every other day protests have been reported against inability of authorities to nab the culprits involved in the crime.
