Srinagar: Ruling coalition partner Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Sunday “made it clear” that there will be “no compromise” on Article 370 ever, saying the “stand of the party is very clear when it comes to the special status of J&K”.

The reaction from the PDP-which is an alliance partner of BJP in J&K government, has come a day after RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat had said that constitutional amendments were needed to fully integrate Jammu and Kashmir with India.

Talking to KNS, senior PDP leader Nizam Ud Din Bhat said the PDP’s stand about article 370 and other such political issues is abundantly clear.

“They (BJP and RSS) have their own politics at the national level, so they do it,” he said.

PDP and BJP are ruling J&K since March 2015 after having agreed “agenda of alliance”.

Asked if this national level politics has after affects on state in the near future, he said, “then PDP will cross the bridge when the time comes.”

“I am again telling you that no compromise on this ever,” he added.
