PAMPORE: Central Sericulture Reasearch and Training Institute Pampore in collaboration with Municipal Committee Pampore organised a cleanliness drive under the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recently announced Swachhata Hi Sewa (cleanliness is service) campaign on Thursday in saffron town Pampore.
A cleanliness drive was held on Jammu-Srinagar Highway (NH-1A) near the Institute campus at Galandhar, Pampore, officials told Kashmir Reader. A plantation drive and road show program was also organized.
Central Sericultural Research & Training Institute, Pampore and its nested units are organizing ‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ Campaign from September 15 to October 2 .
On this occasion, a mass pledge was taken by the employees for actively participating in cleanliness programmes and devoting a minimum of 100 hours per year towards cleanliness of the surroundings and maintaining personal hygiene, officials said.
Cleanliness drive at different locations of the institute and surroundings was carried out.
All the staff members were given shramdan for cleaning activities in the chinar colony Galander.
A Swachhta Awareness camp was also organized at Govt. Middle School Kadalbal, Pampore
A health camp was organized in association with J&K health department, medical block Pampore and Sericulture Development Department J&K on Wednesday at Satpokhran, Pampore.
